We went Skiing!

There's been no rain, hence no snow despite the sub zero temperatures. But Heavenly had the cannons on so they opened a couple of runs! Here's Jen at the top with Lake Tahoe in the background.

Walking along Lake Tahoe

We went for a walk along Lake Tahoe. We lasted about 10 mins because the temperature was 1c. Here's Jen at the end of a pier.
 

Our first Thanksgiving Dinner

Thanksgiving was last Thursday and we went up to our cabin for the first time. We have a shared lease on north Lake Tahoe with 16 other folk. There were 12 of us up this weekend. Here's Jen outside the cabin.
 

This is what our Thanksgiving dinner looked like. Everyone pitched in, our offering was an Apple Pie and a Pecan Pie, homemade by Jenny.
 

Fog!

Fog that looks like it has pirates in it.

 

 

Marin headlands

This weekend we headed over the Golden Gate Bridge into Marin County. Breathtaking views, the roaring Pacific and sunset surfers.

 

 

 

 

Jenny drove down Lombard Street (the very windy one) in the SUV. Got up to 5mph. No mean feat.

 

We then went for strong whiskies in the MakeOutRoom.

Milk on Wisteria Lane

They have milk and orange juice here so it's not totally weird.

We're temporarily living in a clone of Wisteria Lane. Yesterday I helped Bree Van de Kamp carry in her shopping.

Welcome to America, where bigger is better

Enterprise offered us a free upgrade from a compact to an SUV or a Hummer. I can't be seen dead in a Hummer so we went for the SUV. Turned out it was bigger.

Leaving Battersea

Moving out of our first home was hard.
Empty shelves, packed bags and no furniture
